Admission and Study Process at Technofest Institute of Technology (TITU)
At Technofest Institute of Technology University (TITU), we believe that higher education should be flexible, research-oriented, and directly connected to solving real-world challenges. Our admission and academic process is designed to identify motivated students and support them throughout their educational journey.
Step 1: Application Submission
Prospective students begin their academic journey by submitting an online application through the university admission system. Applicants are required to provide their academic qualifications, professional experience, research interests, and supporting documents relevant to their chosen program.
Our admissions committee carefully reviews each application to ensure that the candidate's academic background and research interests align with the objectives of the selected program.
Step 2: Admission Review and Tuition Registration
After the initial evaluation, qualified applicants receive a conditional admission offer. Once the admission requirements are satisfied and the tuition payment process is completed, the applicant officially enters the academic onboarding phase.
At this stage, the university establishes the student's academic profile and prepares the necessary documentation for the commencement of studies.
Step 3: Initial Academic Interview
An online academic interview is conducted by a designated supervisor or academic advisor. Depending on the student's location, this interview may be organized by the university headquarters in Belgium or by one of TITU's international branches and academic representatives.
The purpose of this interview is to evaluate:
Academic background and qualifications
Research interests and professional goals
Language and communication skills
Research methodology knowledge
Readiness for independent research
The interview also helps identify the most suitable academic pathway for the student.
Step 4: Research Preparation and Foundation Training
Following the initial academic interview, the supervisor evaluates the applicant's academic background, research experience, and readiness for independent research.
If the supervisor determines that the student requires additional preparation in research methodology, academic writing, scientific publication, research ethics, statistics, innovation management, or subject-specific competencies, the student may be required to complete up to six (6) online credit units.
The specific courses are selected at the discretion of the academic supervisor and are tailored to the student's educational background and research needs. These preparatory courses are intended to strengthen the student's research capabilities and ensure successful completion of thesis-based graduate and doctoral studies.
Step 5: Supervisor Assignment and Research Topic Selection
Following successful completion of the preparatory requirements, an academic supervisor is formally assigned to the student.
The student and supervisor collaboratively identify a research topic that addresses a practical challenge within industry, society, healthcare, technology, business, education, sustainability, or other relevant sectors.
TITU strongly encourages applied research with measurable social and economic impact.
Step 6: Research Proposal Development
The student prepares a detailed research proposal under the guidance of the supervisor. The proposal outlines:
Research objectives
Problem statement
Literature review
Methodology
Expected outcomes
Potential societal and industrial impact
The proposal is reviewed and approved by the relevant academic committee before the research phase begins.
Step 7: Research and Thesis Development
The student conducts independent research under continuous academic supervision. Regular meetings, progress reports, seminars, and academic evaluations ensure that the research maintains high scientific standards.
Students are encouraged to publish scientific articles, participate in conferences, develop innovative solutions, and collaborate with industry partners whenever applicable.
Step 8: Thesis Submission and Defense
Upon completion of the research project, the student submits a thesis or dissertation for examination.
A thesis defense is conducted before an academic panel consisting of qualified experts and examiners. During the defense, the student presents the research findings and demonstrates the contribution of the work to science, technology, industry, or society.
Step 9: Graduation and Professional Impact
To qualify for graduation from TITU's research-based Master's, PhD, or DBA programs, students must successfully fulfill all academic and research requirements established by the university.
In addition to the successful completion and defense of the thesis or dissertation, students are required to publish a minimum of two original scientific research articles in internationally indexed academic journals approved by the university.
This publication requirement reflects TITU's commitment to advancing scientific knowledge, promoting international academic visibility, and ensuring that student research contributes to the global scientific community.
Only after the successful completion of the dissertation defense and fulfillment of the publication requirements will the degree be awarded.
"The published articles must be directly derived from the student's thesis or dissertation research and must be accepted or published in recognized international indexed journals."
Our Educational Philosophy
At TITU, research is not merely an academic requirement—it is a tool for creating positive change. Every thesis, dissertation, and research project is encouraged to address practical problems and generate solutions that can improve industries, communities, and the quality of life worldwide.
By connecting education, research, innovation, and technology commercialization, TITU aims to develop future leaders capable of transforming knowledge into sustainable impact.
